The Native Chief takes the proven form of Spyderco's iconic Native model and extends it by about a third to create an even more powerful cutting tool. This exclusive Sprint Run version takes the design to a new level of performance with a CPM-15V blade. The sophisticated alloy composition of this steel produces an exceptionally high number of small, ultra-hard vanadium carbides. A special heat treatment process developed by knife designer Shawn Houston results in a blade that offers exceptional cutting performance and outstanding edge retention. The fully flat-ground blade takes full advantage of these properties and proudly bears Shawn Houston's "Triple B” logo engraved on the back. The handle does not require a liner and consists of brown G10 scales with a peel-ply structure. It is equipped with a robust back lock mechanism, a stainless steel backspacer, and a four-way reversible pocket clip.
