The elite Sprint Run version of the Para 3 Lightweight features a blade made from CPM-15V, an exceptional material that offers the highest wear resistance of any cold work steel available today. Its unique alloy composition contains almost 15% vanadium and creates an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this results in breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco's limited edition CPM-15V knife family is enhanced by a special heat treatment protocol developed by renowned knifemaker Shawn Houston. This Sprint Run version of the Para 3 Lightweight incorporates all the proven elements of this design, including a high-strength compression lock mechanism and a four-way reversible pocket clip.
