Its unique alloy composition contains almost 15 percent vanadium, creating an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this results in breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco's limited edition CPM 15V knife family is further enhanced by a special heat treatment protocol developed by renowned knifemaker Shawn Houston.
